Wedding Band Q&A
Planning a 2022 Wedding? We are here to help!
Below we have answered some of our client’s most frequently asked questions when it comes to selecting and ordering wedding bands.
Is an appointment required to view/order our wedding bands?
An appointment is not necessary, but it is recommended.
Scheduling an appointment allows one of our professionals to work with you one-on-one, helping you find the perfect band!
When should we order our wedding bands?
We recommend that you order your wedding bands at least 6 weeks before your wedding date.
Can we purchase a wedding band from the case, instead of ordering?
Yes! We keep a large selection of wedding bands in stock that are available to purchase. Sometimes these bands will need to be re-sized to fit your finger properly.
How do I figure out my finger size?
We can help you with that!
We have various sizing kits that we use to determine your true finger size. A wedding band should fit snug, but not so tight that it is uncomfortable.
How long does it take to get a ring sized?
Depending on the style of the band, the sizing process can take anywhere from a few hours to 3 weeks.
Are the wedding bands available in different metals?
Short answer, yes!
Most of our wedding bands are available in white, rose, and yellow gold, in karats of 10KT, 14KT, and 18KT gold.
Platinum and palladium are options with some suppliers and is recommended if you are looking for something more durable.
We also carry a selection of titanium, cobalt, and tungsten gents’ bands.
What if I have a gold allergy?
Yellow gold is usually safe and is less likely to create a reaction.
If you prefer white gold, the higher the karat of white gold = less of a risk of having a reaction. Think 14KT or 18KT white gold.
Depending on how severe the allergy or reaction is, we recommend going with a Platinum or Palladium wedding band. Platinum and Palladium are hypoallergenic, meaning there is zero possibility of having an allergic reaction to the ring.
Do our wedding bands have to match?
Choosing a wedding band to match your partners is based entirely on personal preference. Some of our clients select matching wedding bands because it is considered more traditional. Other clients select bands based on their individual style and even choose a different colour of gold than their partner’s band.
We look forward to helping you choose your wedding bands during this special time!
