As we anticipate the beautiful changing of seasons in nature, we wanted to highlight a designer whose work is inspired by traditional stories and natural landscapes. So, our Designer Spotlight this month is Keith Jack!

Born in Scotland, every design by Keith Jack is infused with the Celtic lore he was raised on. Although having spent much of his life immersed in the jewellery business, he credits the birth of his two children with the inspiration to begin designing jewellery himself! The raw beauty of the Irish and Scottish landscape is evident in every collection: each piece offers something unique that Keith Jack has seen in a hidden mountain loch, the grey sky over a glen, the ripples on a sandy beach, an ancient Norse coin, or even a dragonfly skimming over still water. As he says himself, “inspiration becomes design.”

In his mid-forties, Keith Jack made the exciting move to live in Vancouver, B.C.! He says that this move breathed new life into his designs, leading him to combine precious metals and exotic gemstone, strengthened by his talent at blending ancient Celtic symbolism with contemporary style and elegance. While mostly made in sterling silver, Keith Jack has a skill with incorporating 10KT or 18KT gold into his works as well. When he crafts his pieces, his perspective is not exclusively designing for men or women, they are for all.

Now over a decade from his move, Keith Jack is a proud dual citizen of both Scotland and Canada and is an award-winning jewellery designer!
